The delightful true story about Allan ‘Swampy’ Marsh who, in a desperate bid to protect the native fairy penguin colonies on Middle Island in Warnambool, trained his Mareema breed dog to deter their predators. A fictional narrative has been employed to embellish the details of this triumph with some fun and heart in this true blue Aussie film. Many scenes were filmed in Williamstown and at the Docklands studio, along with with much gorgeous footage of Victoria’s splendid coastline.
